New Years Festivals to Ring in 2023!

We did it fam! We finally reached the end of 2022! Yes, you read that correctly. No matter how you’re hoping to celebrate the New Year, the pressure of making plans inevitably creeps in. If you want to be surrounded by ravers and dance your way out of 2022 and ring in 2023 in style, we compiled a list of festivals across the nation that you can consider attending!
Countdown New Year’s Invasion (San Bernardino, CA)
For anyone looking to celebrate NYE in SoCal, Countdown should be on your radar. Insomniac is returning with its infamous extraterrestrial themed festival at the NOS Center. The lineup is stacked with a diverse selection of sets by Deadmau5, DJ Snake, Madeon, Slander, Zedd, and more. The festival is spread out between four stages, each with its own celestial theme. Insomniac’s production emphasizes the use of interactive art and technology that will make you feel out of this world.
HiJinx (Philadelphia, PA)
For our East Coast fam, HiJinx will take over the Philadelphia Convention Center on December 29th and 30th. Ring in 2023 with unforgettable sets from Flume, Griz b2b Zeds Dead, Rezz, Gigantic Nghtmre and more followed by their well-known after parties around the city. The lineup is held on a massive stage with a visual production that is guaranteed to blow you away– yes, we're talking about the lasers. The festival also features a vendor village onsite for you to explore.
Fresh Start (San Francisco, CA)
Spend your New Year’s in the Bay with a Fresh Start. This three-day block party is returning with their fifth anniversary at The Midway. Fresh Start is taking over the streets of San Francisco with an indoor/outdoor multi-stage experience. The festival will host sets from Sofi Tukker, Zhu, John Summit, Wax Motif, Moore Kismet and more. Fresh Start also features stage takeovers and experiences curated by their favorite local crews all weekend.
OMFG! NYE (San Diego, CA)
LED Presents returns with another year of OMFG! NYE in San Diego. Countdown your new year with sets from RL Grime, Porter Robinson, Said the Sky, San Holo, Gryffin, and more. The event is held at a sports arena, so there is tier seating available. Tiers include floor, lower bowl and upper bowl. But not to worry– with a lineup like this, where you sit won’t even matter.
Jackpot NYE (Las Vegas, NV)
For those of you who are looking for an adventure in Sin City, the inaugural Jackpot NYE will deliver the full experience. Taking place at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, you'll be bringing in the new year with a star studded lineup featuring Deadmau5, Rezz, BTSM, Marauda, Deorro, RL Grime and more! This is definitely a bass heavy lineup for all of our bassheads in the fam. You can even head to the casinos afterwards with some New Years luck!
Lights All Night (Dallas, TX)
This two day event, back for another year in Dallas, is well known for its top notch video and audio production. Lights All Night will have good vibes for all with its diverse lineup, featuring sets from Excision, John Summit, Tchami, Zeds Dead, G Jones, CID, and more. The festival also has a hand-picked vendor village so you can come home with some new purchases in the new year!
Decadence (Denver, CO)
Global Dance, AEG, and Live Nation are teaming up once again with the return of Decadence. The Colorado Convention Center will host Decadence in the heart of Downtown Denver. The venue will be transformed into two massive arenas, complete with art installations and incredible visual production. The lineup will feature a diverse variety of sets by Big Wild, Chris Lake, Flume, Ganja White Night, Griz, Kaskade (redux), LSDream, and more.
Decadence (Phoenix, AZ)
Just a little southwest from its sister festival mentioned above is Decadence Arizona. Local promoter Relentless Beats has put together a stacked lineup of Fisher, Liquid Stranger, Louis the Child, Malaa, Subtronics, Zeds Dead, and many more to ring in the New Year in the desert. Taking place at the Rawhide Events center, this multi-stage event will transport you to the Ancient Future City of Decadence.
Proper NYE (San Diego, CA)
Highly reputable event organizer, FNGRS CRSSD, is debuting its first New Years event this year with PROPER NYE. This two day celebration in SoCal will take place at the outdoor venue, Petco Park. The lineup is stacked with sets from Chris Lake, Fisher, Dombresky, Nora En Pure, Sofi Tukker, John Summit and more that any house head would dream of. Fans will also get to experience a Kaskade Redux stage to start off their new year.
Moonlight Masquerade NYE (Portland, OR)
For our bass lovers, Moonlight Masquerade NYE is the event for you. The Portland Expo Center will hold this inaugural two day event with a lineup featuring Subtronics, Wooli, Hesh, William Black, Dirt Monkey, Gryffin and more. The sets will be held on one stage, eliminating the chance for set time conflicts – yes, we know this is the dream. Travel packages can conveniently be purchased through their website, so you’re guaranteed a stress free start to 2023.
