How to Clean Your Hydration Sling

April 17, 2026
You've rocked your hydration sling pack after a few festivals and/or adventures and it's time to give it a little TLC during the down time. And before you ask...YES! You should definitely clean and wash your pack in between uses to keep it in tip top shape for your next adventure. Check out our quick tutorial below!
Step 1
Fully unpack your hydration sling's contents - essentials, trinkets, and anything you've clipped onto the exterior.
Step 2
Remove the hose and bladder. Grab one of our cleaning kits and follow the instructions to easily sanitize your bladder and hose. Otherwise, you can use some warm water and dish soap to thoroughly rinse out your bladder, hose, and mouthpiece. For step-by-step instructions, see this blog post.
Step 3
Open all compartments of your pack and toss it in the washer on its own or with other packs. Use a normal detergent and wash on a delicate cycle with warm or cold water.
PRO-TIP: Place ¼ cup of distilled white vinegar to the rinse/fabric softener dispenser which helps remove sweat and oils, preserve the color of your pack, and soften the airmesh material. DO NOT USE BLEACH.
Step 4
Air dry only with all pockets open. DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER!
PRO-TIP: Loop the strap onto a hanger when ready to dry.
