Your Complete EDC Las Vegas 2026 Prep Guide: Pack, Plan & Rave Smarter

Your Complete EDC Las Vegas 2026 Prep Guide: Pack, Plan & Rave Smarter

EDC Las Vegas isn’t just a festival—it’s a full-on marathon of music, art, community, and chaos in the best possible way. The difference between surviving EDC and truly thriving at EDC comes down to preparation.

From planning your travel and outfits to understanding stage vibes, staying safe, and keeping your body functioning through three sunrise finishes, this guide covers everything you need to know before heading Under the Electric Sky.

EDC Week Highlights

Before EDC officially begins, Las Vegas transforms into an EDM playground.

EDC Week is a multi-day series of pool parties, club takeovers, artist appearances, and exclusive performances happening all over the Strip leading into festival weekend. Events typically begin midweek and continue through EDC weekend.

What Happens During EDC Week?

  • Massive pool parties featuring headliners from the festival lineup
  • Nightclub residencies with surprise guests
  • Label showcases and artist takeovers
  • Pre-parties before each day of EDC
  • Recovery shows after each day of EDC

Must-Do EDC Week Experiences

Check up the full lineup and purchase tickets here. But remember, don’t go too hard before the main event!

Items You Need to Pack

Packing smart can completely change your EDC experience. You’ll walk and dance miles every night, deal with changing temperatures, crowds, long hours, and sensory overload. Vegas temperatures can swing drastically between sunset and sunrise so your lunchbox pack becomes your survival kit!

Festival Essentials Checklist

Must-Haves

Bonus Items That Save Lives

  • Extra Storage Skin (to add even more storage to your hydration pack!)
  • Cooling towel
  • Mini fan
  • Wet wipes
  • Bandana for dust
  • Blister patches

Planning Your Set Schedule

EDC is overwhelming—in the best way. There are multiple stages, art cars, surprise sets, and conflicts every single hour. Maximize your experience by planning your schedule in the Insomniac App - but make sure to leave some room to explore and side quest!

Step 1: Down the Insomniac App

Favorite the artists you want to see now! Then when set times drop (usually a few weeks before), the real decision making begins.

Step 2: Prioritize Your “Non-Negotiables”

For each night, choose 5 artists you don't want to miss!

Step 3: Don’t Overschedule

The magic of EDC happens between sets. Leave empty slots to wander around stages, check out the art installations, and to attend the official lunchbox meetup (on Sat at the lunchbox booth. TBD time). Follow us on Instagram for the latest details!

Step 4: FIREWORKS!

One of the most magical moments each year is the nightly fireworks show that happens between 1:30-1:45am nightly. Plan to catch the fireworks from different POVs each night! Consider:

  • The grand stands in front of Cosmic Meadow
  • Anywhere along Rainbow Road
  • On the Ferris Wheel or one of the carnival rides in the center of the festival grounds

Keeping Your Body & Health in Tip-Top Shape

EDC is physically demanding. It truly is a marathon and preparation begins long before Friday night.

Week-Before Festival Prep

Move Your Body

Stretch, walk, and increase movement leading up to EDC as you’ll be dancing 8–12 hours per night.

Hydrate Early

Start increasing water intake several days before arrival.

Prioritize Sleep

Sleep debt compounds quickly during EDC weekend. Take any moment to nap or sleep and recharge.

Eat Properly

Focus on protein, electrolytes, complex carbs (like whole grans, legumes, and starchy veggies), and of course - fruits & veggies.

Support Immunity

Before EDC:

  • Vitamins
  • Rest
  • Hydration
  • Reduced alcohol intake

During EDC:

  • Eat real meals
  • Sit when needed & recharge during slower sets
  • Listen to your body!!!

Anti-Theft Tips

Phone theft is unfortunately common at major festivals. So here's how to keep your belongings safe so that you fest experience isn't ruined.

  • Use any of lunchbox's anti-theft packs that have zipper clips + dedicated phone pockets against your body to keep what matters secure
  • Add one a lifeline phone tether so that you can snap memories while your phone stays secured to your pack or yourself
  • Register your phone with lost & found and use the free wallpaper with a QR that notifies you if your phone is found (you'll receive emails from EDC to do this)

Beware of High-Risk Areas

  • Stage exits
  • Shuttle lines
  • Crowded walkways
  • Firework moments
  • Packed sets

EDC is about music, connection, exploration, and self-expression. Pack smart. Plan wisely. Take care of your body. Protect your belongings. Stay present.

And most importantly: Leave room for the unexpected magic.

See you Under the Electric Sky. ✨
