While it is important to clean your bladder after every festival or show that you attend, it is equally if not more important to remember to clean your actual Lunchbox Hydration Pack after every 2-3 festivals depending on how dirty the venue was (I am still coughing up dust from Electric Forest this year). When it comes to cleaning your Lunchbox, remember to follow these simple tips and tricks:
- Remember to remove your skin, bladder, hose, lightshow wires, pins and any other accessories that you may attach to the inside or outside of your Lunchbox
- Add a small cup of laundry detergent to your washing machine and wash on a delicate setting in cold water
- When your Lunchbox is done washing, let it air dry out in the sun or in an area of your house/apartment where it will get plenty of sunlight or airflow directly to the bag. A good rule of thumb is to allow the bag to try for about 24-36 hours, or however long it takes for the compartments of the bag to completely dry.
It’s as simple as that Lunchbox Fam! Not only will washing your bag rejuvenate and bring your Lunchbox back to life like that first time you unboxed it, but you’ll prevent any unwanted bacteria that may be inside too.
